Financing by Waterstone Mortgage

As a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist, Mike Smalley will help you design a mortgage plan that integrates with your overall financial plan. He was the first mortgage originator in Florida to earn both the Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist and Certified Mortgage Advisor designations. Mike has built a business that comes 100% from referrals and repeat clients. He credits this to the long term relationships he has developed over the years with his clients, Realtors, Financial Advisors, Accountants, Attorneys, and other business leaders. A nationally recognized expert, Mike has been featured in Mortgage Originator Magazine, Origination News, The Orlando Business Journal, and is frequently quoted in The Orlando Sentinel. In 2006, Mike became the youngest person in the history of the mortgage industry to be a featured speaker at the Loan Toolbox Business Plan conference, the mortgage industries leading annual training seminar. Each month he hosts a training workshop for Realtors and Mortgage Originators, and is a frequent guest speaker at local Real Estate offices, the Orlando Regional Realtor Association, and the Women's Council of Realtors. Prior to starting his career as a Mortgage Advisor, Mike was a pitcher in the Atlanta Braves organization. He graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Finance, where he met his wife Jacqueline. Together they have three children; Gavin, Dillon and Paige. The Smalley family resides in Winter Park, FL.

Free Loan Pre-Qualification

Bold indicates a required field

Why Get Pre-Qualified?

  1. Pre-qualification acts as a dry run of the loan application process. The mortgage lender will use details you provide about your credit, income, assets and debts to arrive at an estimate of how much mortgage you can afford. The whole process may take only minutes or a few hours at most, and is free.
  2. While a "pre-qual" is non-binding to the lender (because the information you provide has not been verified), it does serve as a good indication to potential sellers of your general creditworthiness.
  3. These days most sellers will NOT accept an offer without at least a pre-approval letter, so if you are serious about buying this is the first step towards getting you in your new home.
